Fork Finished

Phil’s back and we (well, Phil really) set to in making a stock for the fork. We machined an old banister on the new lathe (the big one) and fitted the fork & handle – cushty, as they say! Brilliant thanks. As this was given to me by a neighbour, I took it back – fully fixed and coated with Osmo oil – she was most pleased!!

Super Phil on the big lathe.
The finished article!
We don’t always make stuff – we sometimes, ok, always, drink tea & coffee plus biscuits – a big box today – thanks to Ernie!

A lady suddenly appeared in the doorway, come in, come in we cried! It turns out she was a vicar of a local church and wondered if we could help fabricate a ramp for her building. I said we don’t normally volunteer for outside projects as then there’d be no “shed” for guys to come to but she replied she’d take photos and bring the measurements in, so we could make stuff here. Ok bring it on! Any other projects . . .bring it on.
