Past Activity – Llawhaden Woods

We were very grateful to Lee Burton at the to host us for the day. We enjoyed visiting this “day in the woods” to make spoons, spatulas and coat hooks from green wood, just using simple (but very sharp!) hand tools. It was a brilliant time, starting with a tour of the site: the workshop, work spaces, the RoundHouse and all the hand-made facilities like the composting loo and gas powered shower. A fire was lit and a stew was made. The guys who came were very impressed with the site & Lee’s demo of bowl turning. It was very social and hands on. Another session is coming up soon.
